Dr. Calvin Hirsch
Dr. Calvin Hirsch is a well-known figure in the University of California, Davis community. Dr. Calvin Hirsch has devoted his life to assisting medical residents in caring for challenging patients on the inpatient medical service, as well as overseeing residents in the outpatient General Medicine Clinic and the Internal Medicine Geriatrics Clinic, both of which he headed for 30 years. As so, Davis, California, became a home for him. Dr. Calvin Hirsch has achieved numerous successes and distinctions throughout the course of his extensive career. Notably, from 2018 to 2021, Dr. Hirsch was named one of Sacramento's top doctors. While Dr. Calvin Hirsch will formally retire in July 2021, he has been summoned to continue clinical supervision and teaching at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Hirsch is the primary investigator of the Cardiovascular Health Study at the University of California, Davis. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health funds this initiative. Hirsch is undecided whether he will retire altogether or whether he will participate in future projects when the current one concludes. Dr. Hirsch, however, remains active in the community and at U.C.
